A symposium about David Bowie

David Bowie is one of the most important icons of British pop culture. He has never stopped to change his style. So, he succeeded in pleasing to different generations.

He is above all a singer and a musician. But it’s like a transdisciplinary artist that he was the subject of a symposium in Limerick University, in Ireland, in October 2012.

This conference gathered, during three days, several English-speaking experts of David Bowie, came from the entire world.

It’s not the first time that this University organizes a conference about a popular culture element and its influences. In fact, the Limerick University talked also about Harry Potter and Morrisey.

It will not be the only event in 2012-2013 about the English 65 old star. The Victoria and Albert Museum, in London, will create an international retrospective exhibition which will recount his career.
