The Blues, by Martin Scorses
The Blues is a  serie of seven movies on the initiative of Martin Scorses. 

For a long time, Martin Scorses was interested in the music, and particularly to the Blues and the rock and roll. After Jean-Luc Godard, he was the only one director who make a documentary about the Rolling Stones, and, in 2003,  he decided to make a serie of movies about the blues.

For that he asks to seven directors to work on a subject each. Thanks to this process, he obtains seven movies very personal on the music.  Every director is chosen  as his love of the blues music, but exists differents kinds of blues. The directors was : Clint Eastwood for the piano Blues, Charles Burnett for the remember of his own childhood with the music of the devil, Wim Wenders for the best guitars players, Richard Pearce, Mike Figgis and Martin Scorses hitself for the origins of the Blues : from Mali to Mississippi.
These movies ares very interesting for all those who like music because they présent many famous guitarists and blues singer, and they allow to dive in the deep origin of the music, since the beginning.
