“Star Wars”, the new franchise of Disney

After Pixar and Marvel Entertainment, Disney has bought LucasFilm (“Star Wars” and “Indiana Jones”) in October for 4.05 milliards of dollars. Georges Lucas, the director of Star Wars, was the owner in 100% of the society since 41 years and with this purchase, became the biggest non-institutional share-older of Disney with 2.2% of capital.
But mostly, Disney announced an episode 7 for Star Wars in 2015 and a long-term plan to the 8 and 9 episodes every 2 to 3 years. On the other side, it won’t be George Lucas in director. With the new episode (and the new saga), the universe Star Wars will extended even more in consumer product like video games, series TV, performing arts, derived products or attractions in the different International Disney Parks.
On the other hand, the future of “Indiana Jones” is compromised because potential problems with distributor Paramount.
