Marina Picard-Baillet: Da Vinci discovery

A painting by Leonardo Da Vinvi that was lost for centuries had been authentificated and identified in 2011 in USA and was part of and exhibition that was setteled in London’s National Gallery from Novembre 2011 until Februardy 2012.
The painting, called Salvator Mundi (the one who saves the world) portrays the Christ rising his right hand and hanging in his left a crystal ball.
Apparently, Leonardo Da Vinci would have realised a lot of copies depending upon this single original painting dating of the end of the 15th century, when Leonardo was living in Florence.
This painting has been examined by several curators and specialists who ended certifying it was an original painting. In fact, various tests have convinced historians that the painting is authentic. Even if it has been heavily altered and restored since its creation, they all agreed to say that it was fabulous to discover a new work of art painted by the great Da Vinci.
