A Trampoline Bridge in Paris?

Gwenael P._Week 07

An original proposition emerged of the architectural competition concerning the 38th bridge of Paris. In fact, AZC Architecture Studio proposed a funny and enjoying projet : a Trampoline Bridge across the Seine.

The structure has the form of three doughnut which let everybody bounce from ring to ring, all the way across the river. The studio tried to respond to the main criterion of the idea competition : « give to Paris a new icon or landmark ». According to the architects, « Our intention is to invite its visitors and inhabitants to engage on a newer and more playful path across this same water." The structure will be 30m long and will permit a joyful release from gravity.

Unfortunately, the projet did win the competition but AZC still proposes original project, such as the Terreform10 Project in Chicago.
