NEIL YOUNG

Neil Percival Young,(born November 12, 1945) is a Canadian singer-songwriter very popular since 1996, from the beginning of his career. Indeed, from 1966 to 1968 he’s the leader of Buffalo Springfield, and already the Neil Young style is unique. Particularity of Neil Young music is large guitars using with melancholic and high voice and poetry lyrics.
After this first experience, he going solo with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and Crazy Horse (1968–1970). This band optain an important success in the USA and in the rest of the world too. After the « Gold Rush » acoustic tour and the incredible « Harvest » album(1970-1972) The "Ditch" Trilogy and personal struggles (1972–1974)
Though a new tour had been planned to follow up on the success of Harvest, it became apparent that Danny Whitten could not function due to drug abuse. Shortly after he was fired from the tour preparations, Whitten was found dead of an overdose. However, Young reformed Crazy Horse with Frank Sampedro on guitar as his backup band for his eighth album, Zuma (1975).
After Experimental years (1980–1988), Neil Young writes several albums until 2010. Now, he’s on tour for his new album « Americana » in wich he takes back traditional songs.
